Heidi really wanted a white wedding…..unfortunately there was no snow on the day but at least it was a beautifully sunny and crisp winter day.

Getting ready went well, without too many tears (I did ask Heidi and the bridesmaid to keep some for the church) whilst Alex and the boys prepared the reception room at Bromley Court Hotel with a lovely festive feel to it.

The ceremony took place at St Mary’s church in Addington, one of the most beautiful little churches I’ve seen. The colors on the walls and the feel of the church were so warm, it was hard for everybody to believe that they would be posing for the group photos in what seemed like sub-zero temperatures (most guests and the bride and groom kept smiling though!!)

The wedding party then went back to the hotel for a lovely, festive candle-lit wedding breakfast followed by the classic cut of the cake and a first dance that would have made a lot of Strictly Come Dancing stars jealous.

I met up with Rhi, James and their two girls, Freya and Niah to takes some shots of them in the woods – the aim was to get some fairy photos, but we were met with a cold and drizzly December morning, not massively conducive to frolicking in the woods!!

The girls, however, were very patient and still happy to have fun running around - I managed to get some lovely photos of them all, with a few special photos of the winter fairies!!

The photo shoot was made more relaxed by the fact I had previously taken photos for Rhi & James wedding – with the added addition of little Niah this time. We hope to go out again in the spring to try and get some more colourful fairy photos next time.

I met up with the lovely Tanya and Stephen to take photos of their wedding in Pangbourne at the Elephant Hotel. There was a festive feel about the wedding and the venue had bags of character and charm. This, combined with a beautiful and relaxed ceremony, gave a really warm feeling to the whole day which led to an evening of fun, dancing and laughter!

I also have to mention that I had the best BLT sandwich ever at the restaurant ther !!!!

Chris, Ruth and the very cute Oli joined me on a cold and blustery day at Brighton beach for some natural portrait shots. I already met up with the family about a year ago so it was good to see everybody again. Oli ran around like most 3 year old boys, but he was also quite up for some more posed shots of the three of them.

Slightly out of breath, we returned to their house to take a few portrait shots of Ruth who is 8 month pregnant. This was my 2nd experience of taking photos like these, but I have Ruth to thank for her relaxed attitude and for not shying away from the camera – hopefully they can treasure them for years to come.

I met with Becca, Steve, Emilia and Georgia on another beautiful autumn day to take some natural and informal photos of the four of them. The afternoon light was lovely and enabled me to take some great shots of the girls having lots of fun.

I met up with Aimee and her dog, Dougal, on a beautiful and unseasonably warm sunday morning at the beach. Both of them were willing and enthusiastic models and we managed to capture some fun and interesting shots.

The portrait session is £125 for an hour and includes a DVD of the high resolution photos with an A4 high quality print of your choice. I aim to make the sessions as relaxed as possible to get natural, informal and intimate shots – I don’t take photos from a studio and prefer to go to an outdoor setting so that everyone can have fun and express themselves in an environment they feel comfortable in.

I joined the Temperleys for an autumnal walk to take some shots of the three of them.

We were a bit late for the vibrant colours but still managed to find some interesting backdrops and there were plenty of bare branches for Millie to enjoy climbing the trees.

Thanks to one of my friends, I have now entered the wedding industry award.

I have known Tammy and Ian for a number of years, so taking their wedding photos was a privilege!  The days preceding their wedding were a bit rainy, but on the day it was lovely weather, so we could all breathe a sigh of relief.  The ceremony took place at St Peter’s church in Slinfold, followed by the reception at the beautiful Sedgwick Park house - the stunning grounds were a perfect setting for the formal photographs and my job was made easier by their willingness to take time out to have these taken.
