Yeah! We got some sun! And it just happened that Vicky and Alan celebrated their wedding during these two lucky days of sunshine.

We were really lucky because the beautiful sunshine stayed around for Karen and Paul’s wedding during the last weekend of March!

The venue was lovely and big with a garden going into the countryside at the back which I think that was one of my favorite parts of Rivervale Barn though it was hard to pick! Karen and Paul were game to walk a small distance to take a few photos near a willow tree which allowed us to get some photos with a warm, summery feel. They also agreed to my strange request of some photos near a delapidated shed – I’m glad they did as I love these kind of quirky places and I am really happy with the results.

After the teaser, here are all the photos from Nina and Will’s beautiful, sunny wedding at Nonsuch Mansion.

The venue was brilliant and the food amazing (I have a few photos of it in the gallery, couldn’t resist!). Nina and Will were really relaxed and happy to pose for me – it didn’t take long to warm to the camera at all!

Nina had the best smile all day (because she married Will of course but also partly because of her much loved second pair of Jimmy…). I love it when you can see the love a couple have like that, which clearly shows in the photos.

I met Helen and Matt about a year ago at my friend’s wedding (Ruth and Rob) where Helen was bridesmaid. They contacted me a few months later to be their wedding photographer.

What a good a good idea it was to accept because the day was brilliant!! The venue, Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire, is such a nice place and the house attached to it where Helen was getting ready was a dream. Not only was it beautiful (with the most amazing cellar you could imagine – a circular staircase going down, covered by glass) but the light was amazing which was perfect for the ‘getting ready’ photos.

The day went perfectly well with no hitches. The ceremony room had a spring feeling as it was covered by daffodils grown by Matt’s mum. The weather even held up until the evening which was a perfect time to get everybody indoors on the dancefloor.

Congratulations to you both and thank you for making me feel welcome – you and your family were so nice, it was a pleasure to share the day with you.

I wanted to say thank you to Karen and Paul who agreed to a long walk (with high heels and wedding dress that is, it was only 5 minutes away) to find the perfect tree for the photos but I think it was worth it.

I was excited about taking these photos for Will and Sarah because it was the first wedding of the year. In addition, the venue, The Elvetham Hotel, was such a beautiful setting for a marriage and following wedding breakfast. I had met Sarah previously at their friend’s wedding who kindly recommended me (thanks to Juliet and Robert and Michelle and Andy!)- it made the day much more relaxed and it was nice to see familiar faces !! One of the hilights of the day wa the speech from Will’s son, Riley, which was one of the best I’ve ever heard. They all make a lovely family and I wish them all the best for a happy marriage together.

Heidi really wanted a white wedding…..unfortunately there was no snow on the day but at least it was a beautifully sunny and crisp winter day.

Getting ready went well, without too many tears (I did ask Heidi and the bridesmaid to keep some for the church) whilst Alex and the boys prepared the reception room at Bromley Court Hotel with a lovely festive feel to it.

The ceremony took place at St Mary’s church in Addington, one of the most beautiful little churches I’ve seen. The colors on the walls and the feel of the church were so warm, it was hard for everybody to believe that they would be posing for the group photos in what seemed like sub-zero temperatures (most guests and the bride and groom kept smiling though!!)

The wedding party then went back to the hotel for a lovely, festive candle-lit wedding breakfast followed by the classic cut of the cake and a first dance that would have made a lot of Strictly Come Dancing stars jealous.

I met up with Rhi, James and their two girls, Freya and Niah to takes some shots of them in the woods – the aim was to get some fairy photos, but we were met with a cold and drizzly December morning, not massively conducive to frolicking in the woods!!

The girls, however, were very patient and still happy to have fun running around - I managed to get some lovely photos of them all, with a few special photos of the winter fairies!!

The photo shoot was made more relaxed by the fact I had previously taken photos for Rhi & James wedding – with the added addition of little Niah this time. We hope to go out again in the spring to try and get some more colourful fairy photos next time.

I met up with the lovely Tanya and Stephen to take photos of their wedding in Pangbourne at the Elephant Hotel. There was a festive feel about the wedding and the venue had bags of character and charm. This, combined with a beautiful and relaxed ceremony, gave a really warm feeling to the whole day which led to an evening of fun, dancing and laughter!

I also have to mention that I had the best BLT sandwich ever at the restaurant ther !!!!
